The 'personal' in making jewellery, which sometimes rises from an inner impulse to me, is a valuable characteristic when making jewellery. From enamelling, (when it is burning in the kiln) to working with natural forms, fascinates me. I love the variety of materials from the sensitivity and brittleness of Mother of Pearl to hard vitreous enamel, an industrial material.
